About Me

I’m a GTA native who spent the last four and a half years on the East Coast soaking up positive vibes while attending Dalhousie University. Currently I’m in the homestretch of my dual degree program – Recreation Management, which is a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Management – a pursuit which began with my passion for business and love for all things sport.

What interested you most about TORQUE when you were looking for an internship?

I was initially attracted to TORQUE Strategies because of the company’s proud and bold values, and also struck by TORQUE’s impressive portfolio of clients. I was excited about the opportunity to work in a fast paced, changing environment at an innovative and growing company.

What is a day in the life of a TORQUE intern like?

Every day is different – whether it’s writing briefs, generating social media content for our accounts or ideating with our team, no day is ever the same. Each day is an exciting adventure with plenty of new tasks and projects on the go.

What is your favorite part about being a TORQUE intern?

My favourite part is being surrounded by all of the intelligent and inspiring people that work here. I love being a part of this team and at a company that has such a strong and engaging culture – radiating through everything TQ touches!

What was one thing about the sponsorship industry that surprised you the most?

I was surprised by how many forms of sponsorship exist and the different ways they can be leveraged. While working at TORQUE, I’ve learned in-depth how sponsorship presents a unique, innovative and strategic approach for companies to enhance their brand and connect with consumers.

How has your internship shaped your vision for your future career path?

I have always wanted to work for a sport-related brand. My internship at TORQUE exposed me to the sponsorship and marketing industry and introduced me to the strategy behind brand building. This experience has reaffirmed my aspiration to work for a brand, and specifically opened my eyes to the opportunities in areas like social media marketing.
