POSITION TITLE: Brand Ambassador

POSITION DESCRIPTION

TORQUE Strategies is currently seeking Brand Ambassadors in the lead-up to and during the HSBC Canada Sevens Vancouver rugby tournament hosted at BC Place March 11-12, 2017. We are looking for engaging, personable, and enthusiastic people who are not afraid to engage with fans or educate them on what makes the HSBC Canada Sevens festival so unique and special. Ambassadors will be representing our client, a global tournament sponsor. We have a variety of ambassadorial roles available.


RESPONSIBILITIES

– Interact with consumers and encourage participation in a branded contest
– Distribute branded paraphernalia at selected Vancouver locations and events
– Create a positive and engaging experience for fans to reflect positively on the brand
– Educate the consumer on the unique and fast-paced sport that is Rugby Sevens
– Deliver key brand messages


QUALIFICATIONS

– Must be 19 or over
– Having and demonstrating a passion for Rugby and / or sport in general is a major asset
– Must be energetic, engaging, personable and friendly
– Must be comfortable creating a positive and engaging experience for consumers
– Must be able to learn and deliver key brand messages and tournament information
– Demonstrate an ability to work in a team environment
– Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
– Eligibility to work in Canada
– Fluency in English required


HOURS & ROLES

There are a variety of roles available however all ambassadors are expected to attend:
Paid Informational and Training Session:
– Tuesday March 7, 2017 – 3 Hours (Time TBD, after 6pm likely)
Street-Team Ambassadors are expected to commit to:
– Thursday March 9, 2017 – (8:00am – 4:00pm) activation at pre-selected locations in Downtown Vancouver
– Friday March 10, 2017 – (8:00am – 4:00pm) activation at pre-selected locations in Downtown Vancouver
In-Stadium “Sevens Service Team” are expected to commit to:
– Saturday March 11, 2017 – (8:00am – 8:00pm) at BC Place Stadium
– Sunday March 12, 2017 – (8:00am – 8:00pm) at BC Place Stadium
Ball Delivery Operators are expected to commit to:
– Tuesday or Wednesday, March 7 or 8th 2017 (TBD) Training Session at BC Place Stadium
– Saturday March 11, 2017 – (8:00am – 8:00pm) at BC Place Stadium
– Sunday March 12, 2017 – (8:00am – 8:00pm) at BC Place Stadium
On-Site Ambassadors I are expected to commit to:
– Saturday March 11, 2017 – (7:00am – 11:00am) at BC Place Stadium
– Sunday March 12, 2017 – (7:00am – 11:00am) at BC Place Stadium
On-Site Ambassadors II are expected to commit to:
– Saturday March 11, 2017 – (8:00am – 8:00pm) at BC Place Stadium
– Sunday March 12, 2017 – (8:00am – 8:00pm) at BC Place Stadium


COMPENSATION

Informational and Training Session:
– $18 / hour
Street-Team Ambassadors:
– $18 / hour
In-Stadium ‘Sevens Service Team’ Ambassadors:
– $25 / hour
Ball Delivery Operators:
– $18 / hour
On-Site Ambassadors:
– $18 / hour
On-Site Ambassadors II:
– $18 / hour
